Three miles from Poole town centre you will find 5 kilometres of sandy beach stretching along the Sandbanks peninsula. The beach has a European Blue Flag Award.
Crazy Golf
The best Crazy Golf course on the South Coast of England! Sandbanks Crazy Golf is located by the beach car park off Banks Road, Sandbanks, Poole. Sandbanks beach is one of the best Blue Flag beaches in Britain. Open 10.00 am ‘til late, every day from Easter to October Half Term and weekends through the winter ,(weather permitting).
Eating Out
Poole has a variety of eating places to frequent on a night or day. There are the usual fast food outlets that are great after a day of shopping or to grab a quick bite to eat at lunch times. Alternatively there are a few more up market restaurants for you to wine and dine a loved one. Prices are dependent on the venue but are on the whole fairly reasonable. As this isn’t a large town, most of the eating out places are, in close proximity to each other and any other bars and clubs
Poole Lighthouse Arts Centre
Lighthouse is an arts centre, the largest in the United Kingdom outside London with a 669 seat theatre, 1,500 seat concert hall, 150 seat studio, 105 seat cinema, an Image Lab/media suite, a large gallery for photography and digital art, a restaurant and three function rooms. It is situated just outside the main shopping centre / High Street in Poole. However it is only a short walk from the centre of town and Baiter Park.
Poole Park
In Poole Park offers something for all the family. Children can feed the ducks and swans, ride on the miniature railway or play in Gus Gorilla's Jungle Playground. Adults can watch cricket, model racing yachts, admire the formal flower beds play crazy golf, mini pitch and putt or hire a tennis court. From Rockley Watersports you can hire a pedalo, kayak or sailing dinghy to try out on Poole Park Lake.
